If you have a custom order and are looking for an update, please read the details below.

The majority of the custom orders we deal with are hand built items that are built to order.  When the factory receives the work order, they issue a delivery estimate.  We should receive this estimate within 1-2 weeks of you placing the order.   We will place the update to your on inside the "order notes" field on your order.  You can access your orders at our portal here.  (If you require a password reminder to be sent  to you, please check your junk mail)

After that, we're not provided with any updates (unless a problem arises) until the item ships.  Once the item ships, we will send the information to you as soon as it is provided to us.

How Long Do I Have To Wait?

Here are the typical lead times by a few of the brands we work with.

DW

We have access to the shops estimated build time. (this does not include delivery time, which is 7-10 days to DCP)  We can confirm this at the time of order.  Because these instruments (and estimates) are made by humans, things can change.  But it's a close estimate.

Gretsch

USA Custom, Broadkaster, Brooklyn

Exactly the same as DW.  We have typically seen that Gretsch custom orders run a bit longer than their estimates.  It's a safe bet to take the estimate and add 30 days.

Renown, Catalina

3-5 months, unless what you are ordering is a regular stock item that is already inbound.  This could make things arrive sooner.  If you have a discontinued series, or a discontinued color, add on drums are not available to order.  Please refer to http://www.gretschdrums.com/ for series and color references.  If you do not see your series (example New Classic or Renown Purewood) or if you don't see your color, then it is not available to order.

Ludwig

USA Production (Classic Maple, Legacy,  Club Date, Keystone)

We have loose estimates of Ludwig's build time, which we can determine at the time of order.   We're issued an estimated ship date within 7 days of placing the order.   We will place that update inside  the "order notes" field on your order.  You can access your orders at our portal here.

Import Drums (Element Evolution, Breakbeats, Lower Priced Snare Drums)

Many of the current import Ludwig Drums are being stocked by Ludwig USA, so if they are not in stock, they may be on the way.  Otherwise, plan on 5 months.  Also note, add on for discontinued series are NOT available.

Pearl

Music City Custom Drums are typically 21 days, all other out of stock items are 3-5 months, unless what you are ordering is a regular stock item that is already inbound.  This could make things arrive sooner.

Mapex

3-5 months, unless what you are ordering is a regular stock item that is already inbound.  This could make things arrive sooner.    If it is an add on made for a long discontinued set/series, this process could be prolonged SEVERAL months.

Sonor

SQ2 orders are 5 months minimum.  For other items, if they are not in stock in the USA, the wait could be the same for all others, unless there are some inbound.

Tama

3-5 month on custom orders.  There is a chance that the components are inbound, which could speed the process up.  We will confirm that with you at the time of order.

Yamaha

5-6 month on custom orders.  There is a chance that the components are inbound, which could speed the process up.  We will confirm that with you at the time of order.

Smaller Companies (A&F, Canopus, C&C, Dunnett, Noble & Cooley)

These are all quoted on a case by case basis and the ETA will likely differ from the actual delivery date.  If delivery time is a serious concern for you, this might be an issue.
